Purchased A New Smartphone? Types Of Screen Protectors You Can Purchase

If you just purchased a new smartphone the screen can easily get damaged. For example, if you drop your smartphone and it lands on the screen it will likely crack. Even if it gets a small crack, it can spread, especially if you drop the phone again. Screens can also easily get scratched without dropping them. To prevent this from happening you should purchase a screen protector. Below are some different types you can choose from.

Types of Screen Protectors

There are different types of screen protectors on the market. One type is made from plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET). This type has more than one layer and a coating on the screen to prevent your phone from scratching. It is adhesive so it will easily stick to your smartphone. PET film will not protect your phone if it is dropped, however, and it may feel rough when you touch the phone with your fingers.

Another type is made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This is much more durable when compared to PET, and offers more scratch protection. It absorbs some shock so if you drop your phone only a few inches from the ground it will protect it. If you drop your phone much higher the screen will still likely crack, however.

There are also screen protectors made of tempered glass. This type has a silicone layer that will absorb shock when the phone is dropped. It also has a layer of PET and a coating placed on top of the screen protector.

These protectors are popular because tempered glass reduces glare on the screen and feels very smooth when you touch it. Glass is also more durable than plastic so it will last you much longer. If you drop your phone the glass will likely shatter but your screen will stay in great protection because the screen absorbs shock.

Protect Your Privacy and Screen

It is easy for people to look over your shoulder or sitting next to you to see your phone screen. This allows them to read texts, emails, or anything else you are doing. To protect your privacy, you can purchase a privacy protector screen. This will also act as a screen protector.

The protector looks like an average screen protector; however, you can only see the screen if you have the phone directly in front of your face. If someone looks over your shoulder or if someone sitting next to you looks at the phone they will only see a sold black screen instead of what you are doing on the phone. This works great if you often travel by trains, planes, or subways.  Find a company that sells screen protectors and they can give you much more information about them.

Shop Til You Drop: A Shopping Blog

I absolutely love shopping, and I love all of it. I love strolling through open air markets in foreign countries, I like thrift stores and antique shops, and I even like big, busy, florescent-lit malls. Through my experiences, I've truly learned to shop til I drop. More importantly, I've learned how to delay "the drop". That includes everything from packing snacks and choosing meals strategically at the food court, to knowing which questions to ask store employees, to stretching before a long day of shopping. If you want tips on topics from shopping endurance to finding deals, you've come to the right spot. Look around. I hope you find posts that inspire you.
